  • Poor Lola needed to go under the knife in order to save her eye. It hadn't improved over the last week of eye medication, so the vet decided to put her under to explore some more. He suggested there was a risk of her eye bursting and her losing it if something wasn't done quickly.

    Turns out she had a fairly deep gouge on her cornea, most likely due to fighting with another cat. The gouge meant there was a flap on her cornea that was loose. He cut it off, and then stitched her 3rd eyelid closed to protect it while it heals.

    She'll be like this for 3-4 weeks at which point he will open it up and hopefully all will be well. There's still a risk that her eye will burst though :(
