  • I need help. I’m trying to build a Caad5 with a SI crank. I’ve got a Wheels MFG Ceramic BB on here, a Cannondale 30mm 125mm (i think) axle on as the 119(or 108) was too short. Now the front mech doesn’t reach the big ring. Any solutions?

  • That won't work. Unless you find a crank spider that pulls the rings in back again by the 10mm or so the external BB cups and longer axle have pushed them out.

No point spending dorrah to get those (new) Si cranks working anyway. If it's BSA just use a nice Shimano or SRAM crank.

  • Fit a smaller big ring and an MTB front mech?
