  • Anyone using an EK43 with coffee burrs - where about on the adjustment are you grinding for pour over? The reason I ask is that ever since I had the machine, filter grinding starts at approx 2 o’clock on the dial for an 18g 1 cup brew (no.2 on my scale) and ends at 2.5 for a 36g 2 cup. Cafetière brewing is at 5.5, or about 11 o’clock on the dial, leaving about 270deg of redundant adjustment and a frustratingly small scale of adjustment for filter grinding. I’ve seen people grinding espresso nowhere near zero and french press towards the end of the scale. Are my burrs damaged? Would planar alignment make such a big difference? I’ve probably only put about 600kg through the machine.
Any help appreciated, @matisse could you shed any light? Cheers.
