DT Alpine III spokes are the go-to for reliable touring wheels.

Or Sapim Force if you prefer your spokes Belgian rather than Swiss.

DT are fatter at the elbow, about 15% more cross sectional area. If Sapim were significantly cheaper or easier to get hold of, they would be an acceptable second best, but they aren't.
