What is the deal with Linde Werdelin, apartamento from being hideous that is? Asked on IG what was good about their strap attachment system and was fobbed off with an answer accusing other watchmakers of using the cheapest possible retention or some nonsense.

Speedy on croc - what about something beefier and less formal?

Needs/ deserves better image capture than that!!
Kudos @inchpincher on a terrific acquisition.

Your suggestion?
I was out for a meal with my wife in a formal setting. I really like the strap as opposed to the bracket. -

What was the problem with your Everest or did it just need a general service?
-
• #33113
Yeah woops. Inebriated in a pub. 😎

The Vanishing Point is a favourite. Just bought a Moonman M2 which at £25 is excellent value and the EF nib is really impressive for a £19 pen.

Alright alright, I give in. It’s been a while since you saw this one...
The other two flags are in pieces; removed the bezels and bezel rings to correct alignment on the auto, and to clean the black paint off the metal chrono. Somehow neither want the bezels to sit back in place now. Accidentally ordered a NOS (apparently) Stendardo rubber dive strap too, from abroad.

It suddenly started running slow, and the power reserve dropped to less than an hour. The watchmaker I sent it to said some parts had worn because the movement wasn’t lubricated properly when it was assembled. £75 later, it’s a lot better.

Do you live in Ballymena TGR? Maybe a silly question given what it says on your watch. I grew up in Portglenone and all the family are still there though like half the country i moved to London's famous London.

Yes. I live in Ballymena. Blown in here (literally) in 1977 so still a blow-in to some people!
My mother’s family are from Newferry - outside Portglenone on the Bann.
Small world but then it’s a small place. 😁 -

Bit of a bargain no? I can't tell any difference between this and the normal DW-5600-1ER

Good price and yeah it’s the same as any other standard DW-5600 - not solar, no Bluetooth or radio sync. Can’t tell if the strap is a bit different but it looks the same shape as the standard one from the top.
I see the standard DW-5600E-1VER (closer to the original style) is £60 and change as well.

You can get the M5610 with solar and radio sync for about £75 for one that you never have to do anything to.

Unwanted by whom?! I quite like that, even the Arabic numerals which are normally a no-go for me.

Sounds a reasonable service, I’ll tap you up for details if mine starts playing up. Ta
