I know it's high contrast area (top is just black and white stripes) so prone to this... but wondering if so much is normal wide open.

shoot the same in RAW and see if it's got something to do with processing?

Is this in the corner of the photo or centre?

slightly off centre, but the whole top is like that.

What lens/camera is it?
Doesn't Sony/Fuji/Olympus come with built in lens correction - do you have that turned off?
Otherwise it should be fixable in raw-processing.

Is that a pano or crop?
