28s should fit fine, I ran 28mm Gravelkings in my 631 disc, and 32mm paselas in my 853, God I miss that frameset.
That's good to know. Think the limiting factor will be the chainstays but hopefully 28 Continentals will be safer than 32's with them often coming up wider.
