Cages for bottles

Quite like the look of Restrap’s magnetic solution

Any advice for handlebar mounted bottle cage on a vintage road bike? The elite one looks a bit too clunky.

Maybe the page I'm linking is just way way out of date but I thought they were around 50EUR each if you order via this WW thread.

Someone up-thead said black metal cages never look good but I do like the black-ano Minoura dura-cage which are also pretty light and cheap

Not sure why I've not a better photo but their dark-grey/ti ano version isn't a bad cheap alternative to King Cages I've found (straighter out the box too).

What's the deal with bottle cages to fit a Klean Kanteen or similar? Driving me insane, doesn't seem like it should be that complex. Thought I'd hit the jackpot with https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/BOTFVSSC/twofish-bolt-on-vinyl-coated-stainless-steel-cage

but they've sent them to me and they're huge, clearly meant for non standard extra large bottles (also have 3 hole mounting unlike in that picture)

Is there a balm to my suffering? Preferably at less than £15 a cage?

I find that king iris cages work with my Klean kanteen.

Oh and preferably black but I understand this might really be too much to ask.

I have Arundel mandible (steel) and it works with kleen kanteen fine

With the 700ml KK? Looks like the lip would stick into the side of the bottle.

I was on a ride with a guy who had these on his bling crabon road biek and they kept falling off and he looked a right tit.

Are you sure they were Fidlock bottles (or the Restrap rebranded version)? They require a twist (in a certain direction) to get them out. The only way I can see a bottle falling off is if somehow one were to knock the bottle so it twists in the right direction (which would be hard to do), or if one let go of the bottle before it snapped back into place
