I feel you!
My first DSLR was a D40 and with the 35mm f1.8 it weighed next to nothing and was just an around good combo. Even ISO1600 was doable because the grain was somewhat film like so it looked good in BW.
I've had a D700 and Carl Zeiss 50mm planar and that combo just weighs so much more, which means I don't take it out as much. -

Been laid low with Bronchitis for the past three weeks so not been taking many new photos. Have been flicking through Lightroom instead and realised I really like the photos I got out of a Nikon D60. Regret selling it now as I remember I enjoyed using it too...
