It shouldn't be doing that after 1 year - having said that, you'd be quids in to replace it with something of better quality - alternatively, prod your vendor for a warranty replacement.

The new Thun Brompton BB are complete shite. Replace with a UN55 or use as a buyer excuse to fit some carbon. UN55 will last years and years. Brompton use 119 JIS IIRC.
Parts with bearings aren’t regularly covered by warranty as it’s classed as wear and tear (I understand it’s not a satisfactory lifespan for a BB) But don’t waste your time trying to get another shit bb for free.
Is this normal for a Brompton that is ridden less than a year?
