Probably 18’s to give scope for larger brakes once we know what the engine will do. Designer is using the 6R4 International engine as his bhp/litre guide, which was (in its later, reliable guise) 125bhp/litre. That makes quite a lot (at 8,000rpm) from my 3.7 litre. So! Will I need to go up an inch on the rear tyre, or will 400+ horsepower be more fun with 285 section rubber?
I might have missed it but what size are you going for? 18's or 17's? Have you also decided on tyres and the profiles you'll be running?
