35 will be difficult on an 80-90's bike as back then CX was actually mud biking (so they did most on 30 mm tires). I have 2 CX bikes from the eighties and for both 32 is a maximum if you don't want them to rub the chainstays.

Is 1970s too old for you? I've got a 531 Harry Quinn CX frameset, proper old skool, with canti bosses, downtube stops for cables from bar-end shifters, etc. Original paint, which could do with a refinish, ideally, but its originality does have some appeal.

@DHD Thanks! Not sure if it will be what I'm looking for but do you have any photos?
@WimVDD Cheers for the advice, I have edited the original post - 32c would work great as I'm basically looking for something that can keep going a little bit further than my current 28c-tired bike, which at the moment gets taken down all sorts of bridle paths and muddy gravel-style routes. Don't suppose you're selling?? ;)

Mine is only 54 cm (top tube) and it's a 1985 Alan (so alumium). I have an old steel one size 56 but that needs a complete refurbishment.
How fast do you need one? There's a 57 steel Olmo for sale not too far from my place but need to check out whether it's real or just Olmo decalled.

Right now round 300 euro. There's another VERY VERY nice one for sale: a 1992 Koga Miyata Full Pro Cross (Dura Ace, XT) but the guy still wants 900 € for it...

Any chance of PM’ing the links so I could take a look? I expect they’ll be out of my budget but worth a shot :)

It's in Dutch and you have to contact the seller for a price.

Yes, it does. My size too but the price is Ebay'esque imo...

Site works very easy actually. You can make a bid or contact the seller but if he doesn't answer, you're f*cked. There is no obligation to sell nor to get in touch with possible buyers. Veery annoying sometimes... And this seller doesn't react on my messages..

Still looking :)
Looking for a steel cyclocross frame, ideally from 80s or 90s.
Max budget is around £250 but would also be up for something less nice if it can fit 32c knobbly tires.
I would need something between a 56 and 58.
Thanks!
