  • What year is yours? 05/6? If so, you won't be exempt. Check online, it'll tell you.

Compared to another Japanese bike, I tend to agree; but a 675 will always be that itch.

  • Foreign plates.

  • There is talk of a sunset period for residents included in the official website stuff. So possibly residents will have a bit more time. It is a s**tshow though.

  • Not much mate. I work within the zone and live within the North Circular. Might as well pull off the band aid and get it over with.

  • If you live outside London there care going to be a shit load of bikes coming up for sale cheap due to the ULEZ, a buying bonanza for sure
    Shame I am zone 2...
And have a small child - they seem to really inhibit amount of riding I get to do now

  • Or forin plates ;)

  • So, Suzuki Van Van, the new Monkey bike, a Mutt or something else for 125 commuting fun/ experience gaining?

  • I just offloaded my blackbirdfor this reason.

  • Was the reason I got rid of my gt550 as well, but stinky black cabs get a pass so its all fine.

  • Crazy huh.

  • Pulled the trigger...

  • Great choice. They're a proper hoot to ride and don't feel diminutive. I like the new monkeys, but like the Groms, your footprint is tiny and I'd rather be seen.

In other news, my first bike just got recovered nearly two years later. In Bulgaria!!

  • Great choice - that seat looks interesting - happy motoring.

  • Started my bike with the rear wheel in the paddock stand, & when I shifted it into 1st gear (clutch fully in with no revs) the rear wheel spins. Is this just down to internal drag as the oil will be fairly thick? For some reason thought it had something to do with torque but looking online can't see anything about torque being a factor.

  • Little bit of clutch drag, perfectly normal

  • I've never seen a bike that don't do this. Even in neutral.

  • Thanks guys. Nothing to do with torque, just clutch drag?

  • yeah man, check out any video of bikes on stands being blipped. Wheel always turns. It's clutch drag.

  • True dat. Annoying when you're trying to bump start on a cold day but great for oiling the chain.

  • Check the rear shock mounts as the seize and snap.

Look up how to have matching tyres front and rear as I think that looks cool aka moon bike.

Enjoy and have fun...Suzuki for life

  • I am presently, Suzuki, Suzuki, Honda, Honda, Honda, Honda.

I miss nothing other than a little Yamaha.

    And more Suzuki.

  • So this really hurts to put it out there but I will be selling my bike when the weather warms up due to lack of use since my daughter came to live with me. She is 4 so no chance of rides out with her on the back yet

If anyone is interested in a ULEZ friendly, Triumph Tiger (11 plate, non-ABS) with a load of attachments (triumph panniers, fog lights, centre stand etc etc) and a load of stamps in the book drop me a PM.

  • Starter solenoid/relay sticking causing a 20a ignition fuse to blow as soon as ignition turned on sound possible? Finally getting around to fixing funduro and I actually hate automotive electrical problem.

  • This the 650?

Solenoid wise, usually stick open but can stick closed. Is the starter motor sticking on?

Electrical problems anoying, first place I'd look at is the wiring around the headstock. Common area for problems in bike wiring.
