Financially? No, not at all. But then it wouldn't make financial sense for a LWB either. This is going to be another money>sense build.

The only stuff from the old bike going on the new bike will be the frame, forks, stem and rear triangle, albeit after some minor and not-so-minor modifications. Everything else will be new. As for ride quality, I didn't even notice it was a SWB model until I started stripping it down. Even when I used to switch between Tatty Old SWS Brompton and my lots-of-titanium LWB model on a daily basis I've never noticed the difference in terms of ride quality or handling.
