Modern steel frame(set) wanted. FOUND ONE :-)

I have all the bits in boxes, groupset, cockpit, wheels and so on, but no frame.

I would really like to try a modern steel frame like say Genesis Volare, Enigma Elite, Cinelli Nemo Tig etc. Other suggestions welcome.

A frame with 1 1/8” headset or maybe tapered?
BB30 bottom bracket would fit with my crankset, but it’s not a must. For rim brakes and no brace-on for fender/rack etc.

I’m 5’10” or 178 cm and low on cash, so around a size 54-55 or a M and maybe a frame that needs a new paintjob.

Am i looking for a unicorn or is it possible?

What’s your budget?

(Non of the frames you have mentioned get on very well with the ‘low on cash’ bit BTW)

Well, i was offered a Genesis Volare 853 frame & fork with shipping to DK for 390£ but in the end the seller sold it more locally.
The frame was in very nice nick and i think the offer was fair.

So there about, give or take.

Maybe someone have a top end steel frame with loads of cablerub, scratches and maybe even a few dents, i don’t mind, painting is not a problem.

Afraid I don’t have anything at that price.

Hi , I have a felt f4130 frame. Very very good nick. Whole bike weighed 8.6. Columbus cromor
Only need about £120 for the frameset. I also have a lovely lemons Zurich , Reynolds 853.

My Aurelius might do it...top end steel, but does have eyes for guards, although still close clearance. Will take 28's without the guards......

Ok gotcha........for anyone interested in steel frames the felt really is sweet, not an obvious choice though.

Excellent choice mate. Had a decent cycle on my flatmates yesterday and it's beautiful to ride. Smooth and appropriately stiff. Actually considering buying it off him and having it repainted etc but may end up going mad on a Vamoots DR. Interested in pics and hope you enjoy it! T
