I saw the aldi one, it's the same unit as sold by SGS engineering for £10 more, the benefit with the SGS one is you can upgrade to a bigger tank - I was thinking of going for a 50ltr one as i think the 24ltr tank might be too small for what i need.

Even 50ltr will be on ALL THE TIME for stuff like shot blasting or painting. If you can get belt driven and 100 litre cheapish do that. Far less far less often...

Yeah I thought this, I need to see what space I can afford to store it and go from there.

The other problem is my garage is only on a 13A supply which basically rules out belt driven compressors as they seem to need 16A.

SGS have 100ltr 14.6CFM 3hp that would suit for about £240
