I haven’t tried the I3 but have been driving a 330e for the last 18 months, originally motivated by the dirt cheap company car tax but electric is so much nicer around town I wouldn’t go back now. Since my employers put charge points in I’ve been getting 74mpg average (commute is Reading-East Finchley via either A40/North Circ or M25 depending on traffic).
With the cost increase over a diesel 3 series I’m not sure the numbers add up yet if you’re buying/leasing but if you generally do local miles with the odd longer trip it might be worth considering.
