  • Proper South London coke dealers car. I used to know a fella that had one.

  • i think the 355 is probably one of the nicest looking Ferraris ever made. They certainly haven't made a better looking one since

  • Have to see what Brexit does to the price of RHD

  • Vid of Sothebys cars...

  • What do you think it would do? I guess it could reduce demand overseas for them but then it could increase demand in the UK

  • Thanks; finding Jason Cammisa surprisingly easy to watch.

  • Anyone else thoroughly disappointed with project binky's speaker choices?

  • While I agree on looks, it has been brought to my attention by my friend who recently bought a 360CS that the 355 is the final iteration of very old Ferrari tech. The 360 was an all new car, so has fewer quirks and foibles than the 355.

  • 355 looks better than the 360 though.

  • In full agreement there, 360CS is one of the best sounding cars of all time though?

  • I think it was Chris Harris that reviewed that back in Evo days and waxed lyrical about the noise.
About a week later I heard one howling down from Liverpool Street towards Bank and I still have that memory imprinted in my mind.

  • They do make an awesome noise, it is true. The 355 isn't bad, from that perspective though, I thought?

I'm busy making sure that my current car sounds similar to this (but without the snazzy gearshift):

  • Yup agreed on the noise. I also think that in 10 years or so they will be viewed as much more attractive than they are currently.

  • So probably be burnt to death by bringing this subject to this thread, but anyone used or owned BMW i3? Currently my dad has a 2002 Toyota previa which we used during our take away days in Kent. Unfortunately it was a 2.2 litre petrol which drank petrol like it was water and now we live in London with the up and coming ultra emission zone I thought it would be about time to move with the times as we don’t own a take away so therefore we don’t need to carry groceries or stock anymore and the idea to get a electric/hybrid car for the city and occasional drive back down to Kent. Thoughts?

  • A question for freshly-qualified @Fixedwheelnut I think.

  • The one I got off Mikey was really good, it's one of these:

    https://www.decathlon.co.uk/xpress-970-towbar-car-bike-rack-2-bikes-id_8176983.html?gclid=Cj0KCQiA4aXiBRCRARIsAMBZGz9aTmXj_SnxsUcRjuxKN3KOGbPzUCc6UjtYs51S-SmKqFRaNTqACzsaAtetEALw_wcB

I've ordered one of these . Is the idea that rear lights and plate are sufficiently visible that you can get away without a light board?

Edit - although I've just remembered that with nothing plugged into the tow bar electrics, and a rack fitted, the car won't let you reverse... could be an issue.

I discovered this when attempting to drive to Halfords to get a 7 pin -> 13 pin adaptor, with the tow hitch mounted bike rack already on the back of the car. And then I absentmindedly drove into a cul-de-sac.

  • i3 is awesome! I used to rent them from drive now all the time, they have brutal acceleration.

Not sure about the range to go to Kent though.

  • they have brutal acceleration

Haven’t driven one but I am always surprised by this when I see them setting off from lights. They do shift. Would probably be quite fun about town

  • The 0-60 time sounds decent enough at 6ish seconds but it's the 10-40 time that's the best. It will out accelerate an M3/M4 to 40 and that includes limiting 0-10 due to a problem with the engine mounts.

  • Apparently the breaking is fun too. Almost like a dodgem as the car slows through regen...

  • Yeah, I've been reading and watching a lot of youtube videos about this little run around. There is an optional range extender to top up the battery.,unlike the puris. Granted it is a 0.6 little engine but it serves it's purpose to provide range to the electric car for another 50 miles (I think).

Also in keeping with traditional BMW this is still a rear wheel drive, granted on very skinny/comical wheels, so probably no silly drifting/sideway action from this little bug.

  • Apparently this is the biggest change/adjustment when driving this car. Hence why I probably need to test one out before committing to this long term relationship. Also due to the nature of it's wheel apparently you need to replace your tyres after every 20k and only bridgestone makes these which comes at a premium.
