I’ve had a few pairs of EE brakes and my Red levers have never run more perfect than with my current EE’s and shit bog standard Shimano cables.
If you look at the way the cable routes into the caliper then with standard cable and the front brake running from the right hand lever it applies a net sideways force, unless you have a very long cable with a very lazy curve. You may have adjusted it out using the alignment features on the caliper, but I found that it lead to very uneven pad wear, and given the price of ENVE pads that was annoying.
Also, finding ENVE pads in rural Spain is not straightforward, at least if you are me.
