  • Superstar nano x? (If you're going mtb type)

  • You used them? Rate them?

  • What would work as grippy as Nukeproof pedals except are narrow? Better for pedalling round corners?

  • Used them on a mate's bike - nice platform and grippy / stiff as the Saints (which I have on mine and am very happy with) - they were cheaper than the Shimanos when I last looked.

EDIT: I have just spotted the Saints are cheap on CRC:

  • DMR Vaults seem to be rated highly. But I've not used them.

  • My heart beat for MSC superflat, with titanium axle
But I don't know where you can find it in UK

  • I'm coming to this thread late so I may be duplicating.
I use DMR V12's ( some magnesium ) on all my bikes from fixed to old sturmey archer. You can't fit restraps onto them but my feet have never slipped off. I ride mainly in DM's or Converse. The bearings never need changing even on second hand ones. I've only scrapped the floor cornering once and take care now.

  • They have an Amazon UK shop. Currently out of stock, but maybe worth contacting them?

    Quite spendy though

  • Those look like the Superstar Nano X and seem to be available under a whole host of different names/brandings.

Exotic do them for about £35.

  • Has nobody mentioned MKS Lambdas?
I have had them on my commuter for quite a while now, and while they are not the stickiest pedals (though you could tap the holes and insert pins) I really like the longer narrower body, as it provides much better support imo.

And although they're really pricey, I'd like to try these pedals for the extra support

  • Page 1, post #1.

  • Silly me.. They are good pedals though.

  • Almost a year on, pretty happy with MKS Lambdas for touring & commuting. They are a bit slippy when wet.

Keep meaning to try a pinned pedal out...

  • I think I'm going to just go with V12s.

I already have some spare bearings and I've found the bushes for under 50p each so they should be fairly easy to keep going for years to come.

Edit: Wish I'd found these bushings last year, sold a set of 10-12 year old V12s for cheap on ebay as I' did the bearings but they still squeaked.

  • V12 and re-straps - is this a non preferred combination?

I've had to put the washers on the back as these pedals don't have the usual cage drillings. Do I need to source washers for the fronts as well?

  • Moar washers were required - otherwise the bolt was at risk of pulling through the strap.

The profile of the V12 is supposed to have the wider section at the front? looks slightly odd to me but appears to be the correct orientation.

  • Somehow lost my flat pedals and holdfast straps.

What straps are good? My holdfasts were 6 years old and still solid.

  • What mtb flats are we all using these days for getting rad? I’ve got plastic bsd safaris on my ogre but seem slippy when wet.

  • I’ve just switched to some Nukeproof horizons for the Enduro bike and they are outstanding

  • I want to try some of these on the MTB:

    OneUp Composite
    Kona Wah Wah II

  • Over the last year I've been swapping my V12's for Vaults. They are extra wide, slimmer, lighter and your feet stick so you seem to get more power.

  • do you know an aliexpress alternative? (Need for commuting)

  • aliexpress

    Buyer Status: revoked

  • I am in a process to get an extension done to the house :(

    No #buying for some time.
