It’s bad but not that bloody bad.
While I disagree with SNP on a lot of things and personally find Sturgeon just god awful i would still rather them over Tory’s. They took my mines, my milk and probably something else with M at the start.
The problem with a second IndyRef with the EU being at the front is due to Spain and Catalan we are no where near guaranteed entry. Far from it actually.

Brexit seems to have refocused their feelings on that. Edinburgh also the most popular destination for Spanish holiday makers in UK apparently, (75k per year) and Scotland has a stable population of around 10,000 Spaniards-mostly young people working through Uni that then go back to Spain. Not huge numbers but has a big cultural impact in both directions over time... EU project in action I suppose.

Officials warn of putrefying piles of rubbish after no-deal Brexit
Gove/Johnson/Grayling/etc will get moved to new cabinet roles rather than being left out on the street.

In the Netherlands they recently had a BBQ/smoker (very similar to a Green Egg) called The Black Bastard.
They've renamed it now to "The Bastard" but frankly the fact anyone ever thought it was OK to call it that in the first place says much about the challenges of the Netherlands.
Don´t forget Zwarte Piet: https://vimeo.com/243014355
I know somebody who owns a Black Bastard.

Ha. Put it this way, if a Scotland free of Westminster seemed like an attractive option a while back then now...

Nothing bad happens if you completely stop reading the news. I did it for a while
Yea the thing is though when you then start again all that shit is really getting to you even worse than before..

Weed is still legal there right? -

Technically, it never has been legal there.

A significant part of Scots support for the EU has always been fuelled by anti-English or anti-Westminster sentiment. There's a lot of irony to savour in this particular conflict between Scottish and Irish nationalism, but it could get very nasty very quickly in the aftermath of a no-deal Brexit. Kippers will blame the EU for all the problems, ScotsNats will blame the English. People are worried about the Irish border right now...

When you Google Zwarte Piet the first Dutch video that comes up is "Zwarte Piet: Racist or not?"...
At one point we were thinking about buying one and removing the logos but decided against a green egg style BBQ.
For balance, I know some lovely Dutch people and they're not racist.

It is interesting zwarte piet comes up a lot as "the big thing" where the UK evicted windrush people, some names in Netherlands on your CV means it goes right in the bin, etc.
There is probably way more dangerous racism going on in NL and abroad but it is not as "mediagenic" The EU report on racism against black people in the EU made for sobering reading, always feel to me ZP distracts from bigger issues.
EDIT: Not saying that Zwarte Piet should not be changed, just everytime it comes up the discussion takes SO MUCH TIME. Some people in NL still don't want to acknowledge the colonial past of NL, let Dutch people that are descendants of slaves/people from the old colonies/black Dutch/Dutch oversea territories to have their own discussion and take a step back, then listen to what they have to say.
Oh brexit. Yeah unionist speakers here still doesn't want the backstop (see the newsletter) so yeah, again we are stuck.

That valuation figure must reflect the replacement building meeting current or up coming regulations.
Many construction companies are going for bigger profits and paying the sub contractors (who do the work) less.

Something just occurred to me. The name of the BBQ had not struck me as racist before you mentioned it. Feck, I must be a bigot then.
(That's a joke by the way, in case anyone didn't get that).
