  • Just bought a MN strap for soon to arrive BB58. Went for Sahara.

  • Not perfect, but better.

  • Good job. I've tried using poly on a scratch which I'm sure I can get rid of but I think I was approaching too gingerly. Did you use cotton wool and just lightly buff? Or do I need to be more aggressive/use something else?

  • My Polywatch came with a couple of cloths, I just used one of those and a degree of pressure.

  • Some acrylics are treated with a anti scratch compound which prevents polywatch from working. I discovered that after failing to buff out a puppy tooth scratch from my Junghans.

  • Interesting - that might be it. Will give it another go with a watch/glasses cloth before admitting defeat.

  • What was your process? Good job! I'm curious if I can use it on the plastic cover of a camera that a crow has scratched up.

  • Good job. I can’t see any residual marks in the pic. Watch looks great.

  • Am I right in thinking you can't polish out scratches on Seiko glass?

  • What was your process?

Very simple, put the watch on a bit of rubber to stop it moving around, then dab polywatch on the crystal where the scratches are/were, and apply a bit of pressure with the included cloth to polish until the crystal is clean and clear.

I took the opportunity afforded by a long conference call which I didn't have to contribute too for long stretches to quietly work away at it.

There are marks left, but another conference call should get them out.

  • Gone back to the suede strap for a bit

  • Having bought this due to this thread, I've been enjoying it alot. Couldn't get on with the NATO so got a rubber strap which I much prefer

  • I must Confess to not owning a NATO strap.

  • Was in Florence for the day and loved this VC store. Didn’t walk away with an overseas ultra thin just yet.

  • So you can pray for a lottery win while you browse. I saw an Overseas (not the ultra thin) in the flesh recently and was pretty impressed.

My Ollech and Wejs chronograph is in the return post after a serious bit of TLC from Mr Atelier, I feel bad I sent him such a filthy project but he’s performed miracles. Crown stem jizz.

  • I bent a pusher on my Junghans Max Bill while taking a backpack off yesterday. Second time it has happened. I've come to consider this a design flaw. Its all very well having a delicate and elegant design but if a component can't sustain a very light bit of lateral pressure, it probably needs beefing up a bit.

  • Max Bills are for Architects and fairies tho. #justsayin 😎

  • They’re quite nice those JLC Polaris but they’ve used Arial for the numbers on the rotating bezel, which always upsets me on expensive Swiss watches.

OP 39? I do like those. I think the 36 is a nicer size but the white and black dial 39s are great too. Slightly more classic dial design than the 36.

  • I'm proud to consider myself a fairy so it's all good.

  • It is an incredibly fine watch.

I don't think they could have made those hands any thinner...

I guess that is part of the appeal. 😎

  • lovely. what is the ref?
