I think the underlying reason is that previous generations of BT used a fair amount of power, so mouse batteries didn't last long.
Proprietary protocols like Logitech's filled the gap.
Now BT variants use less power so they are more feasible for mice.
Me, I don't get on with anything Bluetooth. Had enough of pairing, unpairing for no reason, re-pairing.
The Logitech stuff just works immediately on sticking it in the slot.
Why do most wireless mice(sp?) require a usb dongle, rather than working off bluetooth?
And can you usually sync ones requiring a dongle with bluetooth on a laptop?
