Logic is back!
And with some nice light mount hacks/bodges
2 more to go. Well really just 1, I don't really care about the 4th ...

I'm very pleased. A friend of mine had to negotiate and pay to get her stolen bike back last year and sometimes you just have to do it to get them back. I hope that the police support you after this to hold whoever took them/handled them to account.

how did you get it back in the end?

Excellent news :)

Great news!
Hope you get the Ascent back as well, such a unique cool frame... -

Great news! Via the same person?
-
• #14208
yes but via another 3rd party ...
I guess all these bikes have just ended up in different hands ...
:(

Yeah, that is the one I want back the most.
It's so handsome.
So versatile.
Rips through everythingAck.

Still, to get two back is fantastic. Hope you get the Ascent back as they are lovely. I did once retrieve a Kona Explosif in 2007 that had been stolen out of my shed in 1999. Turns out the little **** lived on the same street. Never give up!

A friend of mine was once approached in a pub and offered his own bike for sale that had been stolen the previous day
-
• #14213
Did he test ride it and never look back?
-
• #14214
No I think he took it off him and gave him the bum's rush
-
• #14215
Good for him!
-
• #14216
for your viewing pleasure.
They had also rammed the carbon seatpost way down and raised the bars, making the headset a bit wobbly. My bike has been in the hands of dummies ...

Wow, so pro....

Any fingerprints or DNA on the sellotape???
-
• #14219
Or on either of the bikes, especially under top tube etc. Same prints on both bikes and you have the perp?
Oh, and upgraded with lights = win. Maybe 😒
-
• #14220
the thing is DNA / fingerprinting etc takes up police resources. At this point the bike has probably exchanged several hands. My feeling from them is that they're not that interested/have way too much other stuff to do ...
okay, everyone still on the hunt for this little guy ... keep eyes peeled.

Long shot, but I had my XL Size Canyon Endurace Al 7.0 Disc bike stolen this afternoon near Spitalfields Market.
Not the most distinctive of bikes so maybe hard to spot, but if anyone hears or sees anything then please let me know.

What size is that bike? Looks huge! I suspect maybe not that hard to spot....
-
• #14224
It's their XL. So yeah, you'd need to be of a certain size to ride it I suppose!

Hope you get it back. Brick Lane next Sunday will be worth a punt I would have thought.
Stolen from a friend this evening, I only built it a few months ago :(
