A Valjoux 7750 is 8mm thick before you've even slapped a dial and case on it...
Which is why it's such a bugbear. Fine on a Steinhart, but disappointing from the big brands.
You should see the state of my Longines Master. Sure, its a full moonphase quadruple retrograde in house movement but to cram all that into a watch for less than £3k they ended up with a watch that is 16mm thick!
