isn't it the labour time for the service?
-
• #10853
I think it's riding, but actually back dated to the birth of Christ, so you need to do the service many, many times before it's fit to ride.

My Hylix post cracked, really quickly.

• #10855
was it the same 25.4 inline one?
-
• #10856
Do you have a photo of the logo you want?
I have most Cannondale logos on file (there are many, many variations!), can cut you a vinyl decal to the size you want if needed.

was it the same 25.4 inline one?
Yep, I think I killed two before giving up on them.
-
• #10859
Shan’t bother with one of them then!
Maybe I’ll look out for an FSA one

Few cheeky little upgrades unlikely to see the light of day again until MUCH better weather:
- Tune Speedneedle
- FSA SLK 0 Setback Carbon Post
- New parts for the EE brakes (yet to go on)
- CarbonWorks.de bottle cages (in post)
- ArkaneWheelworks hoops built by the legendary @broken_777
- Ritchey EvoMax WCS Bars
- New SworksTurbo Tyres (26mm)
Still 6.7kgs
Question - what bar tape would you reccomend? always used Fizik Superlight Softtouch 2mm Black on my road bikes, perhaps looking for a change....
- Tune Speedneedle

Ritchey EvoMax WCS Bars
Flared bars on road bike? You are getting older.
-
• #10862
Barely Flared
Not older just old

That’s fresh dude

this is my new favourite bartape, like a velvety suede - https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/prologo-skintouch-handlebar-tape/rp-prod88816
I've just swapped over from Supertouch

• #10865
what new parts for your EE brakes did you get?
-
• #10866
Really lovely. Looking forward to sticking some gumwalls on my CAAD12 in the summer for a small flash of colour. Probably a gold chain too ;)
I've loved the Fabric Hex bartape I've been using. Good grip and cushioning, but not as chunky looking as some like Lizard Skins and Cinelli.

• #10867
Looks good - can you wrap it so the logos are covered?
-
• #10868
The cable pinch bolts/plate need switching over as they had been rounded/well used (all Ti), and the plastic spacers the barrel adjusters sit on had worn. Will all be replaced with genuine spare parts, which are actually surprisingly available!
-
• #10869
Yeah i was thinking about DSP, my problem isnt so much the chunkiness but the texture and the pattern. particularly why i love the superlight so much - its just super plain.
-
• #10870
Ah ok. That's good to hear, i have the mk2 version on my supersix but i'd like to change the barrel adjusters for the later type if it's do-able
-
• #10871
I think it’s doable, not sure which MK mine are, but I wouldn’t bother if they’re the standard round barrel and threaded centre, without the wings of the newer versions- mine seem to do the job just fine, and I only ever set them once on installation.
Any particular reason you want to upgrade? Minor adjustment?
-
• #10872
yeah that’s it really, marginal gains I suppose.
These are mk2s, mk3s had a round dial on the centering screw rather than the bent triangle

• #10873
Yeah, yours are same as mine. Nice tyre choice.
Zero marginal gains - in theory the wings will create drag.....
You running NOKON cables?
-
• #10874
Cables are Aligator iLinks, I don’t think they make them any more
-
• #10875
I've got section of Nokon for mine- right hand lever/front brake and EE Brakes can't be happily run with standard cable outer.
Is that riding or owning?
