• Do folks use the same internal width on front and rear? If you couldn't for some reason, I guess you'd want the narrower rim on the back?

    Found a cheap 30mm internal rim, buying a second one would be >£50. A 25mm internal and matching is £30 so wondering if that'll do.

    Edit: I'm currently rocking 19mm front and rear. My gravel thing has wider rims than my MTB

  • No law that says you must have the same width rims (or tyres).
    I guess which way round to set them up (and thus where you'll get more tyre volume/potentially a stronger rim) will vary depending on your bike/preferences.
