I have some custom inners on my old shoes but just use the normal Shimano ones in my race shoes. Didn't bother with the heat molding or anything. Any idea which shops will stock Shimano and Lake in town?

The Lakes are seriously massively wide. I love mine. They are the ONLY comfortable cycling shoes I have ever owned. Don't worry about the arch thing - the soles are removable and the custom inners will slide right in.

I have some unworn 48s in a box next to my desk if you fancy a ride SE to try them on. Bring Mal. :)

:) One day. You should know by now I don't ~~get out of bed~~ cross the river for less than £10k. I think by the sound of it 48s in Lake will be too big anyway. I might poke my head in the Evans here and see what they have.
