Got my eye on the bib tights as have a birthday very soon.

I brought myself the mistral foul weather jacket, it was fine in -3 with a merino baselayer underneath. Crazy.

I had the insulated gilet, but it was tight on the waist and baggy around my chest.
I have the old barrier gloves which get very warm, but my fingers end up frozen and painful after 45 minutes or so.
Dissent 133 are my gloves of choice now
I've also got one of those snoods that I'll never use. I'll send it to someone if they want it?

dibs the snood :)

Their bib tights sounds like a good shout for winter commuting anyone know what the inseam length are like? Otherwise I'll email them tomorrow. The size guide just shows me waist sizing.

If you e-mail them, they are pretty fast to reply. Their sizing can be a bit odd so ask for full measurements. Quality stuff though!

There was a TV program about this on last night - was quite interesting! Well, at least from afar & not having to deal with the disruption.

Riding along Asked Rd W12 this morning a people carrier pulls out and i had to swerve to miss it. less than 5 mins later just before I got to King St I get knocked off my bike by someone doing a U-turn.. first thing the driver said was "didnt you see me". Bikes ok but my knee is in a little pain, i was just in shock at the time. Think it's time to get myself a Camera..and maybe some body armour lol..

Some very sketchy side roads this morning!
-
• #25963
Treacherous down the back streets near Brockley and Peckham this morning. Came off once and no one stopped to check if I was ok (nice), but managed to get away with just a lil bit of road rash -- bike all ok too!
Stopped twice afterwards to help people who also came off on the ice. One near the end of the Surrey Canal Path at that steep bit and one at the bit joining onto Q1 at Oxley Close.

Stayed upright in Manchester this morning. Some of the roads were horrendous. Snow compacted then frozen over in an inch thick layer over the tarmac. Some stupid fast driving too.
-
• #25965
Saw two people go over this morning. Don't lean!
-
• #25966
I went down a road adjacent to the canal path and it was absolutely awful, almost skidded off at one of the crossroads. No idea how I managed to stay upright, the entire 12km of my commute was sketchy as fuck.
-
• #25967
This is exactly where I saw the two people come off this morning too.

Ice on the quieter roads and the paths, saw a ped almost lose it but first successful commute to new location. Oxford St in not actually shit shocker. I'll probably go back north to Euston Rd. tonight though as all the shops will be open so the Primark Zombies will be everywhere.
Shower in a can though. Fuck this joint.

Stuck to the main roads today for an ice-free experience. Couldn't resist a little detour across the frosty park though! Cold, but no sign of snow in Leeds, it feels quite dry really.

Yep slippery af. Let a bit of air out of my tyres after I came off and it felt a little more stable... wondering what it'll be like tomorrow morning though
-
• #25971
Yeah, wouldn't be surprised if many more came off there
-
• #25972
I'll probably train in tomorrow

Hello ice watchers. Much ice around the London Bridge area? I have a ridiculous job at the moment riding around mapping London with a 360 camera, with lots of leaning.
-
• #25974
It's alright once you get into town - I came over that way earlier.

Threw the marathon winter tyres on the dadbike last night. Glad I did, cycle path was 85% ice rink.
Ive got the Tourmalet jacket and the deep winter gloves. I cant speak highly enough of the quality of them for the price. Definitley recommend them!
