1000% Marcom. He has a very beautiful way with words. RIP sweat princs

Most of the animal shots are on his flickr, a few years old now. Didn't make it very difficult to prove who he really was. There will no doubt be a next time and no doubt he will get banned again.

Never did really understand the Marcom thing. Guy who claims to be a pro photographer has to 'win' a very unserious competition by breaking the rules? And then throws a tantrum when he's found out? Weird.

Playing around with long exposures in Serbia. Not perfect, but enjoyable

@IzMota that's great, I've seen site signs like that in which the rules and regs include the phrase: no horseplay
@ObiWomKenobi love them, those reeds are on fire
@mi7rennie I've no idea, but will this photo mean something to you in 10 years? ...leading question... -

Just needs a little bit of selective contrast and a crop imo. The raw material is good!
I think the problem is, that the flare and backlight makes her face wash out, so I tried to apply some local contrast to bring back focus on her face.

Yes of course.
It's a great image, don't let some HDR freaks tell you otherwise. -

Thanks - I was taught that digital images needs to be "developed" just like analogue. Most of my editing is just trying to draw attention the important parts of an image.
A quick test I use is squinting at the image, and if the important features aren't visible, it still needs work. That or looking at a thumbnail of the image works too. -

I agree and I shoot raw and edit every image but sometimes I feel overcook it and edit too much.

That's why I do all my editing with different layers.
Even the short job I did on yours was 8-10 layers. It makes it very easy to adjust every single aspekt, opacity and masking.
Alt-clicking the eye on bottom layer also makes for good before/after checks. -
