I'm not an expert but circa £600 feels more realistic to me for something of this spec, eBay 'sold listings' are a good place to start to help you work out a more reasonable price OP.

What is a circa by the way?

Interested in a bike this size for sure . When you think of a realistic price to start with definitely make you an offer .

A new Ultegra 8000 (!) groupset is currently being sold for <£600. The new (!) version of the frameset is being sold for £500. Handlebars are £100. Seatpost and saddle a bit above £100. The wheelset is <£200. Miscellaneous bits and bobs for ~£100. That adds up to £1600 new, and I'd say very generous at that. Where did you get the £1700 for a used bike with 'couple marks and chips' from? Or did I overlook something? Genuinely curious.

Yeah your right 1700 it is abit pricey other than £1300 im still welcome for offers 👍🏾
-
• #16
Would you accept 1300, I think people are overlooking the actual parts that are on the bike. Bike looks like it’s barely been used.
-
• #17
Definitely price drop £1300
-
• #18
I mean... I looked up exactly how much the 'actual parts' cost: https://www.lfgss.com/comments/14596585/
£1600 is the maximum I can get to, by using numbers for the new version of the frameset, and a newer version of the groupset. When you then take into account that bikes, weirdly enough, do depreciate over time, £1.3k still seems plenty high...

Thats true:
Into consideration other than the groupset and the frameset and BB
Wheels, cassette, chain, bartape, cables, seatpost, handlebar, are basically brand new but like i said i am open to offers -
• #20
I mean fair enough, but honestly half the things you list as brand new there are fairly inconsequential, and the wheels are not a super high quality set anyway. The groupset and the frameset are the 'big' things on that bike, and they are not brand new.
-
• #21
Ok how much do you think it will be?
-
• #22
'In the region of', or 'about' in this context.

I'd definitely have thought <1k at the very least, based on the maximum price this could have cost new, the fact that it isn't new, and the price other similar bikes were sold for. If you want to maximise what you can make off it, it might make sense to split it really. For example, having the expensive handlebars on it is nice and all, but to me doesn't raise the value of the bike as much as they might be worth if you sold them separately.

Can we talk about the real issue though? It's ugly as sin
Barely used the bike and need to sell it since due to space in my house. Couple marks and chips on the frame.
Selling the bike for £1700 I’m open for offers.
You are more than welcome to see it first beforehand.
