  • Ground works, connection to services (water, electricity, sewage), etc. They also have to be pretty robust to be vandal/drunk proof. Add on a cleaning/servicing contract, etc.

    Unsurprising that drivers will use the pub's toilets when the pub is open, but the pub isn't open for the entire time that the buses operate, hence the need for them.

    Given how picky the neighbours are around there I'm sure there was a lot of NIMBYism and objections.
