sell it on in the original state and get a bike more suited to the purpose
seems a shame to do that to a nice rock lobster
i've been out on mine most days this jan and they are such a nice mountain bike
handle great, nice geo, light and manoeuvrable, been having a blast on and off road
it looks great in that first photo, should be kept that way really !
