Ah I see, I have the GTN....does that need the wire?

Judging by google images it would appear that you don't need the wire.
But the camera will not control the flash output, only make sure it fires. So you will have to do manual adjustments to flash power.

I've never actually done manual flash adjustments, is that bad? I always just stick it on full whack and see whats what
