Clearly getting knocked out of two competitions in a week is all part of the project, which currently seems to be about ensuring a top 6 finish. Progress, although quite possibly in the opposite direction to what fans were expecting.

Trophies, like goals, are overrated.

Much as it’s nice to see the romance of an underdog winning, Millwall is a fucking horrible club that no one except their knuckle-dragging fans would miss if they pissed off forever

Trophies, like goals, are overrated.
Which is handy for spurs as they look like they’ll be lacking both for the rest of the season

Amazingly, he did this mere hours after a Daniel Taylor article (also Guardian) about what a reckless idiot he is. Is this the first EFL owner dickpic to hit the internet? I can't find an Opta stat to confirm or refute.

Looks like it was the straw that broke the camel's back;

Clearly they're behind the times as I think J. Wilson (pbuh) as renounced this statement as being an off the cuff flippant comment.
I'm sure the more rigorous followers of his disciple will chime in, once they either stop laughing at notts county or put the guardian down. -

It's been an astonishing year. A year ago on this day we forced a replay against Premier League Swansea in the FA Cup and were second in the table. Now we face relegation and utter disaster.

You're not changing your name to forest?
That would be utter disaster surely? -
• #148662
There's a disappointing lack of vitriol between Nottingham clubs these days, probably because everyone is tired of getting stabbed or having their houses burgled.

Sounds eerily similar to South Africa.

Tricky midweek game down in Bournemouth for us. Let’s hope we have our act together and get three points on the board.
Pleased to see Ampadu and CHO in the starting lineup for us yesterday.

Hazard and Kante will be back which should assist. Also Kepa in goal and Luiz who was missed yesterday. Hopefully Barkley will be rested for a few weeks. Will still be a tough game. Always is there.

Why is Derby’s hostility directed at Forest and not Notts County?
-

They hate us.

I hated forest at school because I didn't like the kids who were forest fans.
Now I don't care

I must say that I don’t understand this idea that trophies are unimportant.
Supporters of any side enjoy trophies. Division titles and play off wins are rightly celebrated as much as Champions League wins and certainly far more than fourth place achievements or “we pressed them hard”. And what supporters enjoy must be, in the medium to long term, good for business as new supporters follow success rather than failure and are more likely to go to more games in the hope of recreating the euphoria.
I remember the 1970 Cup Final, the 1971 Cup Winners Cup, the two Full Member’s Cups and the two Div 2 Championships with considerably more fondness than any second or third place.

Roy Keane back at Forest. This is going to be fun.

Hello darkness my old friend

Luiz has been brilliant this season baring a couple of poor games I really hope he can continue at The club as I think he brings a good spirit to the dressing room uniting players that could be in there own groups an underrated thing in modern football.

i'd take last seasons champions league run over an fa cup win
massive games
tension to die for
beating the best teams in the world except one
weds nights under the floodlights at anfield
financially more rewarding
you don't get the same tension playing west brom at a neutral ground in the semi's of the karibu cup -

dicki
I suspect that your position might be different if you attended games.
The "financially more rewarding" tag is short term. Financial rewards come from supporters. Being perpetual runners up/first/second/third losers doesn't really hack it in the longer term.

unless you have loyal supporters, who go game in game out, no questions asked, well a few asked in the merseyside arms on anfield street just round the corner from the ground if they're 7th in the table, but not when you've been to 3 or 4 finals in the last three seasons
city have failed to sell all their seats for numerous games since august and they are the best team evar, not sure what the lowest attendance at anfield is this season i don't think it'd be too far from capacity, maybe one outlier
yes yes i don't go to games but i've seen all games bar one or two live this season round at a mates house, i don't have this seasons jersey but i am a bony fido fan and i do care as much about liverpool as you do about chelsea
i still say last seasons champions league run was as good as an fa cup win
Big Alan...
