Hy Rd are the disc brake equivalent of pornhub premium - slightly better expensive wank.

The idea of buying a bike with ugly 105 hydro and replacing with cable is ridiculous.

here's a question for Day One Disc owners .. where can I buy spare cogs? Its some sort of weird hybrid single speed cog with a lockring.

Here's a crappy phone pic of my Volare 853, just finished some new wheels for it & reckon it turned out not bad - had de-stickered Fulcrum Quattros on before which looked pretty good, so was a bit worried it would look gash with silver spokes... but I had silver spokes the right length so that was the end of that conversation with myself.

What's the hive mind on the price of a good condition Equilibrium 853 (rim brake version)?

I've got a 725 rim brake equilibrium in copper.

Bit of a tart, wouldn't mind the 853 as it will effectively be my 'fast' road bike although I definitely won't be able to notice the difference. Also is it just me or are Equilibrium seat tubes fairly short? The 58 has a c-t seat post of 55 🤔

Noted - have a 931 Moda built up with polished Athena & Record / Open pros in the wheel department & the silver looks the part there, but wasn't sure if the modern-er Volare would take to them - should've read the rules!

Compact geo init. Seat tube length means absolutely nothing given angles and reach remain the same

Anything acidc will mark a blasted stainless/titanium finish. Pure lemon/Lime juice would fuck it right up.

Medium Genesis CdF with Hope wheels, 105 groupset & PDW mudguards on Facebook for a steal (need to be part of the Cycle Trader UK group).

Anyone know the size/threading on dropout screws from one of the v-brake day-ones or a flyer(basically anything with those same dropouts)?

I've messaged Genesis directly and they've said they'll try see if there's anything lying around that could work, but they've stopped selling the replacement bolts for them.

Surly cross check dropout bolts.

what mudguards will day one disc take @M_V ? 45 or 53?

I had VO 45s in mine and they didn’t leave much space. I think 53s would be a struggle.
