  • Wtf putting an angle grinder on the frame to make room for those shitty tyres... what kind of bike shop is that? Whats the clearance like now? Also that front wheel.... @skrtluv is that you?

  • I'm enjoying watching the evolution. Not what I'd do but still enjoyable.

  • @kjlem Appreciate the feedback.

@Ptown Great to hear. Stay tuned.

I feel I should clarify; the angle-grinding the frame was not some sort of butchers job where I've compromised the structural integrity of the fame. It was little more than cleaning the paint from the surface.

  • Pinky V4 - Minor Tweaks and Silly Bars
    28/11/16

This is a bit of a non-update so I’ll keep it short. I love the look of silly short bars so I bought £4 riser bars from china and sawed them down. I had to fit them upside-down as the brake levers now sit on the riser itself which meant they were miles away from my fingers. Then my brake levers didn’t fit (cable adjusters overlapped as they were so close together) so I bought some £4 ones from China which ruined my ability to brake. So I bought some lovely Dia Comp levers that work a treat. The China-spec pedals were really slippy when wet so I changed those. I up my front chainring to 46T (16 on the rear).

V5 is a fun one that'll bring us up to present day. Stay tuned…

  • Lovely frame.

    Unsolicited opinion:

Mini V's, matching wheelset (please not white rims ... my eyes) and a black saddle (not Rolls ... your perineum will thank you for it). Oh and some more wider bars (again, your elbows/wrists will thank you.) ..

Mudguards and front rack for bonus points.

Quick photoslop to mock. Something similar to Jones loop-bar would be right on ...

    • Are you Sirius.jpg
  • I used to have a Sirius. Mine was a road frame though. 653 and tight clearances. Got rid as it was a smidgen too small. But it was actually really nice. Cinelli Supercorsa BB shell.

Replaced with a Fagin which wasn't that great tbh. My one and only Italian frame. Not overly impressed.

  • Hi jack...if you ever decide to change the saddle (to black) check out the charge Spoons, get a second hand one for fairly cheap...they are slimmer in height without being hard on arse, & will give you a smidgen more seat post - I speak from short-of-leg experience!
I like your tiny handlebar btw - ( but if wrists ache, follow the advice, & go wider ) :)

  • This bike is absolutely beautiful!!! I own a purple Sirius bike and you dont see many around!! Love yours!! Bad angle pic but you get the idea of mine. The green wheels are new and so fun.

  • some inspiration here from Nottingham Fixed Gear's FB group. Looks like a great F+F though, this is what I'd be doing but with even wider bars than are on this
