I’m really in two minds!! Keep rustic and worn as it is and throw it together with bits I’ve got lying around to use it as a winter smasher for the inevitable future / OR a commuter (yelp) - or try to laboriously remove the old lacquer only (unsure how to do just that on its own) and give a fresh polish and fresh coat of lacquer so it looks a bit more respectible. A respray / full restoration is off the cards though. I just haven’t got the money or time for it and I don’t want to end up with something I’ll be scared of leaning against anything. I’ve already got a bike for that haha.
To be honest I’m open to suggestions on what to do with the paint. (Although I’m not keen on doing a home spray job with rattle cans - don’t think I’ve ever seen a home spray job actually look good) but I could be convinced otherwise
