• I'm trying to remain calm and understanding as I now have the bike. However it got a bit stressful. I get it that those bikes will be in very high demand as they tick a lot of boxes thanks to their versatility. Ribble probably isn't that cash rich and is having to juggle production around.

The CGR 725 arrived safe and sound yesterday. They upgraded the whole brake line to Rival, including the shifter. Only the rear mech is Apex.

  • Curious, when did you place your order? My friend placed his in December when it still said 'in stock' on the website, but he's looking at a huge wait still.

Also, first impressions on the bike? It looks good on paper.

  • I placed my order around Nov 23rd.
It was originally for the AL model (in size XS), "in stock" at the time although I knew the frames were "on their way" rather than in the warehouse.

I haven't ridden the bike yet.
Happy with the upgrade to Rival.
Weighted at 10.4kg with tubed WTB Ranger (knobblies) rather than the stock Horizon.
I'm hoping to go tubeless asap and shave about one lb. at least.
One word on the paintwork. the orange detailing is darker than expected and more like a shade of bronze than orange proper.
