You might not feel the difference between an aluminium Pre Cursa or a £2k Look on the track but you’ll ride it knowing the attention to detail and R&D and all sorts that have gone into the frame and that’s what you’ll appreciate?

Gonna be honest, I'd be pretty disappointed if I didn't feel any difference at all there... but basically, what I'm taking away from this thread is that there isn't an actual point in spending that amount of money on a bike beyond being able to and wanting something custom.

But I'm also a bit allergic to the whole 'voodoo' thing in products, all too often it's just a nice story told to increase the perceived value rather than anything tangible. Lots of talk about a 'different league' and 'another level' etc., not much to actually back it up.

Agreed a bike is pretty much 8 tubes of a certain quality welded together. Whether it's history pedigree or pr story thats drags you to a certain builder is anyone's business. However in this case the frame doesn't show the same kind of swag as another popular Baum on here. so to offer it at pretty much rrp minus 10%? is pretty hopeful
