That's terrible.
One of the main reasons I ordered with Ribble was that delays or long lead time were never mentioned prior to me placing that order.I can't complain totally as a bike was delivered today.
That's after I complained about the rather poor experience so far and the £25 delivery charge being refunded.
Which was followed by an email informing me of despatch notification to follow including Parcelforce tracking number.
That's after not receiving said email AND a PF driver nearly smashing his way in rather unexpectedly. Luckily my gf was WFH today.Ribble CS when chased confirmed the delivery of a CGR AL !!??
Then later explained (verbatim): "our system is currently unable to send automated despatch notification for bike orders due to the complicated way we set up bike orders on our system".I'd strongly advise anyone with a bike order not to wait for that elusive tracking number but contact CS.
Next update:
What bike did they send me in the end??...
A friend's order has just got an update on his SRAM 725 CGR - an order he placed in early December - telling him that there's a delay on SRAM parts, pushing the ETA back to March. That's pretty shocking!
