Can you tell us a little more about how you made this series of images?
I'm guessing it's something to do with high speed sync of the flash?
I think they are stunning. -

When you say angle of flash coverage, do you mean the zoom setting on the flash, to produce a narrower beam of light? Do you use an external flash?
I can imagine it takes some doing!

I’m just saying that sharpness is not the only measure of quality in an image and perhaps the least important, except in macro, product and astro photography.
Composition and control of contrast are way more important imo.
