  • Would they not use the 'aero' section for comfort whilst resting palms on the tops during climbs? Kinda makes sense, but perhaps the nomenclature is somewhat murky.

    Edit: Page Fayl

  • Maybe you're just bored?
It's ok, I got bored. I am bored. I still like riding my bike.

  • Keep the champagne on ice, it might turn out to be Sarah Hammer, or even Lawson Craddock.

  • Lawson Craddock

    this will be on brand

  • Who'd have guessed that marketing blurb and copy, consumed in volumes inconceivable to anyone but Amey, could become tired and boring?

    Enjoyed the football video though.

  • Dunno, it should read like it was penned by someone who was looking forward to things, but it doesn't. Maybe it hit too many marketing people on the way before it was published. It's a bit detached.

  • Got a decent amount of vouchers - should I get the ¾ bib shorts, or the Pro Team Winter Tights?

I'd just stick some Assos padless tights over both for proper cold, but is the DWR coating on the Pro tights really good? Been suffering a bit in the wet recently.

  • They’re my favourite piece of cycle clothing. Never been cold in them. I doubt you’ll need tights over the top.
Mine aren’t too water repellent now after many washes but they still work well on cold days

Edit: the pro team winter tights that is.
I have last years version though

  • Good to know! Just placed an order for them.

My current method for cold weather is Shorts, knee warmers and tights over the top so always nice to actually reduce the amount of time it takes to get geared up in the mornings...

  • Thought you’d be more hardy than that

  • Opportunity to spend a voucher? Can't pass that up...

  • Prototype @ TDU

Nice but probably a bit pricey.

  • Crashed in an insulated Brevet jacket last weekend. Rapha say they can't fix it and have given me a discount code.

Would like to hang on to it if I could as it's a good jacket, anyone had any luck with getting their local tailor to repair this kind of thing? Or bought anything off Amazon like those patches you see?
It's that very thin nylon material.

  • That's interesting because they patched this up for me last year...

  • A good outdoors shop will have some stuff to fix that - tenacious tape or a similar product. Look for places that sell climbing gear

  • Ah good shout - there's about 20 near my office, I'll have a look at lunchtime

  • I swear they're getting tighter. They fixed some touring shorts I bought cheap off eBay last year, no questions asked.

This was a full proof of purchase job before they'd even look at it.

  • Had a very similar experience. Just palmed off with some vouchers. Well I say palmed...still nice of them. But would rather just extend the life of my current gear.

  • I also had a similar thing, said they couldn't repair damaged stitching on an item. They gave me vouchers equivalent to the item price to replace it though so I think that was pretty decent.

  • This was a full proof of purchase job before they'd even look at it.

I crashed and put big hole in some PT bib shorts I bought off eBay. Should I just throw them in the bin?

  • I'd definitely try it just in case I was unlucky just got someone in customer service who was following the book to the letter. Like I say, this hasn't happened to me with other repair requests with eBay stuff.
(the crash wizard on their website will take you 5 minutes, tops too)

  • You need to provide proof of purchase now.

  • Want. Absolutely love my Climbers.
