• Annonced last year that manufacturing of the electric car will happen in Singapore - todays announcement of relocation of HQ to Singapore is a whole different ball game, and could likely mean the loss of jobs in Malmesbury as opposed to a load of jobs that are due to be created in the UK being created in Singapore instead.

  • Do you think they will actually cut headcount at Malmesbury or do you think Singapore will have some token number of staff working there to qualify as the HQ for tax qualification reasons?

    Bizarrely being in South East Asia has benefitted them already this year, because they manufacture in Malaysia and not China they’re exempt from Trumps manufacturing tariffs (for now at least)
