Yep, the media/some politicians of course will use it in Italy/Greece too.
But it has nothing to do with the UK immigration, the UK is not in Schengen and no in refugee taking agreements with the EU. Leave.eu and the F-word with his "europe can't cope" poster of course tried to make it look like it was so.

Can only comment on Italy and Greece, from what I have seen for years, but not recently..if that makes sense.
Then this is played on by the media and the local council..
