Little update:
I have replaced the cable discs with Shimano M615 brakes which are so much better.
But now this is going to be hung up through winter whilst I build some 650b wheels, repaint and get a rack sorted. So I will be using my SSCX and Superx through winter.
I may get a dynamo front hub but that's for another day.

Bought some Surly Straggler forks, first impressions is that they are much nicer than the original CDF forks but damn they heavy!
Gonna add more stack and now a front rack to the CDF!

Hear you regarding the fork. Upside is they're probably much stronger and when paired with a Tubus Tara feel rock solid, even with 2 heavy front panniers and bursting rando bag.

That's good to know! Im going to be using a pizza rack for touring as I want basket duties so I hope it is still up to scratch
It looks great to me! what bars were you thinking of going with instead?
