Update on the CGR AL build by Ribble:
Yesterday got a missed call from them
Me: Cool. Bike is being delivered very soon now SURELY.
Call back CS: Well, we're very sorry... there's a SMALL DELAY with frame production, now expected March MAYBE APRIL...
Me: .... 🤨😨😨😱🤬🤬🤬🤬
That's after they took payment 6 weeks ago, confirmed twice the build was following its course, plus update on the SRAM shifter stock situation.
Obviously my size (XS) is not so common and either they oversold, or change their production schedule for faster selling ones like M or L, or both.
I'm rather pissed off with them.
They offered me an "upgrade" to the steel 725, which is now confirmed as being built on Monday. And the shifter is gonna be Rival rather than Apex, which they are doing for all their customers due to stock issue at SRAM.
so now I'm expecting the bike to be with me by next weekend, failing that could be any time between now and April or Christmas.
It proves one thing at least. Even before Brexit has really kicked in Justintime production schedule can go awfully bad very easily.
I had high expectations of the CGR as on paper it looks like it will deliver huge bangs for your bucks.
I hope it will up to scratch. Fingers crossed.

I'm not surprised actually, given that they announced and released it in December, with a January delivery date, I would have been impressive if they managed that within the time frames.
