  • I cant quite believe how much point and shoot camera's are going for now as I haven't looked in a long time for them on the bay. You can get a Nikon f90x (with bottom battery pack) with a nice Nikkor 50mm 1.8 lens for less than you can a Konica big mini A4.

    It's CRACKERS!

  • Nah I went for the mju iii 80

  • Got some pics back from eyeculture this weekend

  • awesome dog picture by the way

  • Contax T3, yes a cheap alternative. Ha

Was talking about a Yashica T3.

  • Love no. 4

  • Tbh it was almost 10 years ago thinking about it now, when you’d always find Mju I and IIs at carboot sales for a couple of quid - so the notion of paying £35 for something similar was ridiculous. Me and my mates traded/gave away so many Mjus in that time because they were so readily available. I recently sold a broken Mju II on eBay for £35 - madness tbh.

I think the worst news is that the foggy viewfinder is a really easy fix - you just prise off the clear plastic bit on the front and wipe clean with a cotton bud. I had the same problem and it’s totally sorted now.

  • HAHA that's mental! tbh I remember only a year ago or so the t4 being worth like a hundred quid, and now its doubled.

Ye I knew it was quite an easy fix myself, but I think that shows how little I cared for it's use anymore tbh. Wanted to try out medium format and only used the point and shoot very occasionally, mostly when going out for drinks etc

  • Nikon L35AF is £175 now

  • In other notes 50mm Dual-Range summicron is lovely!

  • Lol. That’s a 1,750% markup on what I payed for an immaculate one

  • Nikon L35AF is £175 now

I do regret praising them so often now, haha.

  • Well on the bright side it's the ISO 1000 version.

  • I blame people like me.

  • Well that goes without saying

Something like the Canon EOS300x with the 40mm f2.8 pancake aint that much bigger than a compact and is about £130ish.... no hipster points though of course.

  • Damn, WY only wanted £99 like.. a month and a half ago? Jeez. SLRs<<<<<<

  • This time I've asked for permission. Ricoh AF5, Kodak Ultramax 400.

  • Evocative, really nice

  • EDIT: I'm pretty sure I fixed it.

Quick one - re Canon A1 squealing mirror mechanism - picked this one up as a spare, I am going to follow the many youtube tutorials to cure the squeak but the actual mirror mechanism flipping up looks super slow to me. I figure the lubrication to cure the squeak will free up the mechanism itself somewhat as well but is it ultimately fucked? Battery is good (flashing fast when tested)
