Well I guess it depends on how you define "similar, results wise".
There's still some capable and affordable compact 35mm cameras around, but they're all getting more expensive as they become extinct.
And the really good ones like that hipster apparatus you just sold are very much sought after and thus very expensive, simple as that.

If you can live with it's limitations I think the Trip 35 is still great, and also cheap as there were so many of them built

I cant quite believe how much point and shoot camera's are going for now as I haven't looked in a long time for them on the bay. You can get a Nikon f90x (with bottom battery pack) with a nice Nikkor 50mm 1.8 lens for less than you can a Konica big mini A4.
