Iād prefer someone more evidence based tbh.

Whatās wrong with a pun based lifeform?

Yay, stuff will be better when Iām dead!
Can we kill you now, then?

Itās like falling in lust with someone, and you have a fantasy idea of what life with them would be like. You then go on a few dates
The really British thing would have been to get shitfaced and wake up next to a Brexit that had already happened.

Sun readers only though isn't it. They quite literally buy into the propaganda....
-
• #16714
But any second referendum has to fight against that propaganda.
That turned out well first time, eh?
-
• #16715
Well aware of the mountain to be climbed!
I guess my comment was more to reassure myself that poll isn't reflective of the whole population...

Fuck the second referendum.
What I would like to see is some fucking leadership and some bravery from government.
The emporer is wearing no clothes. Just come out and say that this is a fucking stupid idea. Yes we asked the public, yes we looked at it, but the conclusion is clear. It's a crap idea.
I want to see a PM that can a) call it off as a bad idea and b) spend some time, money, effort and brain power in explaining why it is a bad idea and what an actual good idea might be to reduce people's dissatisfaction. This would ideally talk about reducing inequality, increasing public expenditure and (just because I have to give something) using the EU mechanisms available to us, as a member state, to curb immigration and FoM.
In other words, do their fucking job which is to make tough decisions and lead a country.

What colour unicorn would you like for Christmas?
-
• #16718
Once we've taken back control, there won't be a Christmas. Those bloody euros can keep their bloody foreign religious holidays and leave us to our woad-smeared carousing in peace

I finally got round to watching the Brexit: The Uncivil War the other day. It's difficult not to see a second referendum running similarly...
You can imagine Vote Leave using messages that are deliberately simplistic, doubtless of dubious veracity in many instances, but ultimately compelling, while using a few colourful characters (and partisan media channels) to animate elements of their pitch, and anchoring it all around their 'Tell them again' soundbite.
I can't quite see how Remain would go about combatting - let alone overcoming - those tactics...

• #16721
Common sense?
-
• #16722
what happened to the criminal investigation into manipulation of the original referendum? These cunts should be in jail by now, not sitting with their trotters up mouthing off about picking up rifles when they know it's not their blood that will be spilled.
Any half decent leader would have pursued this as the golden ticket to ignore such a fucking stupid decision driven by deceitful self interested shitstain like Bojo, Farage, Banks and that awful posh kid from the Beano.

One of the quirks of the forum is that it still tells you you were mentioned even if the original reference has been edited. :)

..move to the states?

I appreciate it's a good joke, but what's behind him is, of course, not a bulldozer.
